For the 40th anniversary of the KY Main Street program, Covington hosted the conference in partnership with Renaissance Covington. The conference brought together Kentucky and Ohio directors, board members, and community organizers to explore the redevelopment opportunities and preservation challenges facing Main Streets. The central themes of the conference were: Practioner Skills, Creative Placemaking, Diversity & Inclusion, Smart Cities, Rural Vibrancy, and Environmental Sustainability.

The conference identity is inspired by the universal look of street signage and the brand system is inspired by the layered history of neighborhoods. Without any photography assets to leverage, mixed typography, masonry patterns, and a bright color palette was used to represent vibrant neighborhoods. These elements further played into creating a brand system for each conference theme.
